Need a little more refinement than our standard models offer? We can customize the tapered inner diameter at the colored end of the slide, and we can also make the slide in a custom length.
This option is for players who want a more exact fit and feel without changing the character of the slide model they already like.
What Can Be Customized
This service is for players who want a more exact fit at the tapered end of the slide. It is not a full custom build of the entire inner diameter. Your chosen model still determines the main body of the slide, wall thickness, and overall proportions.

How to Measure for Custom Taper Sizing
The process is very similar to finding your standard slide size, but you are measuring higher on the finger. Instead of measuring around the largest lower knuckle, measure around the fingertip area near the base of the fingernail and the upper knuckle closest to the nail.
Step 1
Choose Your Slide Model
Start by selecting the Silica Sound model that fits the main body size you need. (The model determines the clear body of the slide.)
Step 2
Measure + Get Your Taper I.D.
Measure higher on the finger (near the base of the fingernail / upper knuckle closest to the nail). This is the same simple measuring method we show on our Slide Sizing page, just done higher on the finger for the taper. Then enter your measurement into the converter tool/app below to get your taper inner diameter.
Step 3
Add Customization to Your Cart
Add the Custom Sizing option to your cart along with your chosen slide model, then fill in the fields when prompted (taper inner diameter, and custom length if you’re changing the standard length).
Enter your measurement to find the closest inner diameter for your customized taper.

First choose the Silica Sound model that best matches the main body size you need. Then use custom taper sizing to refine the fit at the colored end only.
In other words, your model size handles the main body of the slide. The taper option fine-tunes the fingertip side.

Because this is a custom service, the custom sizing charge is non-refundable. Please take the time to confirm that your taper inner diameter measurement is correct before ordering.
