Each Silica Sound glass guitar pick is handcrafted in the flame out of extremely durable borosilicate glass. People often ask, “But they're glass, wouldn’t they break?”. The simple answer is no. They are very strong because of the type of glass they are made of and the overall shaping. Typically, you can play your heart out, and these can be dropped on the ground over and over without breaking. That said, they ARE glass, and can break if they happen to hit something hard enough or in just the right spot. Personally, we think this is better than having our regular plastic picks fall into our acoustic, never to be seen again.

Our Single Color Picks feature one glass color mixed with clear glass, creating a simplified color contrast and unique designs. We currently are only offering 3 colors to choose from, but will be adding more in the future.

In general, our glass picks are a bit on the thicker side, with minimum thicknesses varying consistently between 2.0 - 3.0mm.
